The Trans Guy Archive prides itself on keeping our stacks free and open to the public. Furthermore, our commitment to maintaining active collaboration within the transmasculine and wider LGBTQ+ community keeps our inbox open to visitor submissions. Digital items are stored in this archive and offsite in an external hard drive; physical items are kept onsite at our space in Brooklyn, NY. All materials are handled by a trained historian and archivist and will be kept in semi-temperature controlled conditions.

The Trans Guy Archive is happy to acquire physical and digital items that are historically relevant or otherwise are of note to transmasculine history. These items can include, but are not limited to:

Photographs (digitally or physically) of...
- You and others engaging in transmasculine activities (e.g. doing your T-shot, coming out of surgery, etc)
- Your trans guy friends/partners/relatives (whom you received the consent of prior to uploading their photo)
- Events for trans guys (e.g. T-boy wrestling, etc).
  - Do not send in photos taken at play/sex parties if you do not have the consent of everyone in the photo.
- Trans rallies
- Posters/signage made for transmasculine events/rallies/marches
- Surgery photos with detailed captioning of the procedure
Writing (digitally or physically) of...
- Your reviews of trans theory essays
- Your reviews of nonfiction transmasculine-centered books
- Essays (yours or others) on transmasculine theory
- Essays (yours or others) on historical transmasculine topics
- Personal essays and articles regarding any topic relating to transmasculinity (subject to you)

Journals
Books
Artwork - must be historically relevant (e.g. protest posters, flyers for past events, etc.)
CDs, disks, or flash drives containing digital content

We Do NOT Accept...

Art with fictional themes (e.g. fandom art) unless historically relevant
Photos and writing unrelated to transmasculinity in some capacity
Fiction
- poetry and other word art may be allowed if it is educational and fits the theme of the archive
Photos and writing made with generative AI in any capacity
Bad faith arguments (intentionally deceitful arguments, lip service, etc.)
Strawman arguments (creating a fake person/group to be mad at)
Works promoting arguments against medical transition
Pro-TERF arguments/rhetoric
Works promoting transmisogyny and/or transandrophobia

Information on testosterone hormone replacement therapy
Information on FTM surgeries (double mastectomy, phalloplasty, etc.)
Relevant non-fiction writing and/or photos by and about transmasculine people of color
Items written/made pre-1800 CE
Artifacts created/written outside of the United States or by people who are not from the United States
Items in languages other than English
