THE ARCHIVE

Profiles, articles, essays, books, and more written about transmasculine topics, written (mostly) by trans guys.

The main part of the Trans Guy Archive is to research and catalog the trans men/masculine individuals of historical record, seen below in the "Profiles" section. This section is divided by time period: Antiquity, Medieval, Early Modern, Victorian, Modern, & Contemporary. The goal of the Profiles section is to create an easily accessible database for present-day trans guys to read and learn about their history. The scope of this section includes: transsexual & transgender men, Female Husbands, "female transsexuals", male impersonators -- or simply, anyone who was AFAB but presented long-term as male/masculine. This scope is open to be altered.

Other articles and essays span a variety of topics, ranging from a "how-to" guide on medical injections to why trans guys like puppy play so much. Articles and essays published by the Trans Guy Archive are interdisciplinary and will encompass a variety of subjects and opinions, such as the history of Female Husbands, pregnancy as a trans guy, drag king invisibility, and more. It is the goal of the Trans Guy Archive to foster a greater understanding of transmasculine issues while also giving emerging scholars and researchers a space to publish and examine the work of their contemporaries.
